Think about some of your favourite memories in life. The amazing beach vacation for that milestone anniversary. The adrenalin-filled rock-climbing adventure you had with your friends. The backyard surprise party for your 40th that you never saw coming... And how about those times you’ll never forget that weren’t even special occasions? The summer days spent swimming with the kids. Reading a book in the shade all afternoon. The impromptu 4-hour dinners on the patio with your favourite friends… Be it milestones or everyday moments, they’re all framed by the setting. They’re infused with things like the view, the scents all around, what the weather was like and a host of other things that all describe the space around you at the time. We’d also hazard a guess that most of them took place outside. And that’s just it. We all love to be outside. Sure, as life moves along, the things we want or can do outside change, but many of the good things in life simply happen outdoors. We often forget just how good it makes us feel, and then when we do go out, we can’t figure out why we don’t do it more often. Life is busy, but we believe it’s better when it includes the outside. So that’s what drives Wentworth Landscapes - creating inviting spaces that encourage people to get outside so that those great times can happen. Since 1991 we’ve worked to design well-crafted outdoor spaces with a mission to get people out enjoying their landscapes and improving their overall health.

While we loved the look of the initial planting completed in Spring of 2019 it soon became apparent that many of the varieties chosen were not suitable for the space. No plants were replaced that Fall, nor the following Spring of 2020. Multiple supervisors were sent at the site (requiring us to tour them through repeatedly) and all agreed substitutions were required and warrantee would be completed. In June 2021 at the company’s bequest we went to their landscaping grounds to review plants already in stock/in the yard that could be used and yet still no effort was made to complete the warrantee plantings as promised. Spring 2022 and more assurances we would be top of the list, instead deadlines passed, and messages left unanswered. It is now Summer of 2022 and instead of a flourishing garden in its fourth season of growth we are left with half the ground bare and no replies to our most recent inquiries for an update. Disappointing to say the least.

Ric Gould (Sr. Landscape Architect), Tom & Nick - Hard Landscaping team that did a tremendous job, Diane and the plant planting team who accomplished the final look through inclement weather and Jim Philip for keeping everything on track. Super team. We are very pleased with the final landscaping project and have already recommended Wentworth Landscapes to neighbours. PS. We can't wait for spring to enjoy our new backyard.

It is a pleasure to recommend Wentworth for the installation of our patio, pergola, other hardscaping and plantings. From the initial discussion through to final clean up there was never an anxious moment for us. All employees were competent, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Normally one would expect one or two small disappointments in a large project but there were none. The end result is exactly as we had imagined it. We are really enjoying our back yard in the summer weather. I highly recommend Wentworth. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent communication from top down with an adaptable approach to sensitive timelines or challenges. All staff were very polite and professional with a strong focus on customer service. Wentworth Landscapes transformed my back yard into a summer oasis. The quality of work is unsurpassed. The deck is solid and the stone patio and steps are both beautiful and effective. The whole design comes together to provide a wonderful place to spend quiet time or to entertain. The work teams were very professional, polite and willing to listen to any suggestions or questions we may have had as the job progressed. Our neighbours commented to us that they noticed how competently they went about their business, causing little or no disturbance. Our designer worked with us to provide exactly what we wanted, adding or changing any little things which we requested during the work. Wentworth The Phase 1 design, planning, execution and after project follow-up processes with Wentworth's was excellent. Everything was explained and changes were made with ease, even last minute changes during the execution were received well and acted upon. What really stood out for me were the onsite crews, especially the hardscape team of Jason and Matt. Professional, willing to fully answer questions and always cheerful. I look forward to completing Phase 2 in the coming year with Wentworth.

I have used Wentworth Landscapes on several jobs now from softscaping gardens to an extensive interlock retaining wall with terraced steps and gardens. We have also signed up for their Landscape Management package so Wentworth handles all our regular garden maintenance from weeding, to mulch top up. This has proven to not only be convenient but also cost effective. It keeps our gardens looking beautiful with minimal cost and zero effort. My husband and I recently moved to Kingston, Ontario and the home we bought had a wonderful backyard that needed some work. We hired Wentworth Landscapes to design and build our oasis for summer living. We included a pond which now has water lilies, goldfish, and frogs, which tend to be transient, but do show up every so often. The knowledge of the team and the quality of the work is exceptional, and we're now enjoying the fruits of their efforts. Wentworth continues to maintain and change our plantings each year.
