Zone 4 has evolved from its origins in 2001, when the company was launched by Bill Pollock & Dylan Johns and were soon recognized by Aspen Magazine as two of the seven “young talents who are defining individual style in Aspen.” 20 years, Zone 4 has built a diverse portfolio of modern and traditional high end custom residential architecture, commercial, mixed-use, and affordable housing projects. The firm's guiding philosophy has been that good design sets the stage for great projects, but those best efforts can fall short with poor follow through. Zone 4 takes a comprehensive approach to the building process, and converts years of experience into practical application of documentation and project management. Project teams are built around specific roles, which helps to ensure that rotating staff does not introduce errors into the process and our clients always know who they should be speaking to about their project. I am currently working with Zone 4 on 2 extensive remodel projects. One is a large (5,000+ SF) single family home in Snowmass Village, and one is a 4,000+ SF town home in the Aspen core. One project is with Dylan Johns and the other is with Bill Pollock. They are very professional and detail oriented. They have been reliable, keep to a schedule and are talented architects. I would highly recommend working with Zone 4 for any type of project in the Aspen area.

Stephen Cain

I am the owner of the Morningstar house shown here. Zone 4 designed and managed the building project for me from start to finish. I live in the UK and so I depended on them a great deal through out the project. As, I hope you can see, they did a superb job. In combination with a great building company (Brikor LLC) this project came in on time and under budget and exceeded my expectations in almost every regard. I am now on project number 2 with Zone 4 - this time in Phoenix. I cannot recommend these guys enough

I have worked with Zone 4 Architects on many projects over the past 10 years. I am always impressed by their ability to design beautiful homes and make the entire process of design, construction and client interaction completely seamless. They are incredibly adept at negotiating the maze of Aspen building codes and managing construction from start to finish. I highly recommend Zone 4 and would be glad to discuss them with any potential clients.

I have worked with Dylan at Zone 4 on projects over the last 13 years of having my own business. Dylan has worked as both an Owner's representative and as the principal architect on our projects. He has a great eye for design and a style that fits perfectly in a place like Aspen. He's cutting edge, yet works to create spaces that are comfortable and liveable. Dylan has a great understanding of design, construction and managing budgets for his clients. I would recommend Dylan to anyone looking to build a timeless home for their family.
