“Our experience with Key Remodeling & Design was incredible for our waterfront home in Sarasota. It was difficult to find a general contractor for our bathroom remodeling projects, and we talked to quite a few that either didn’t have any vision or didn’t get back to us. Red flags. With Nicholas, from the very first contact he was attentive, communicative, and did what he said he was going to do. Our first meeting I took without my wife due to a conflict, and afterwards I confidently told my wife, “I think you are really going to like him.” Nicholas came back, we had another meeting—and I was right. He made us feel comfortable and confident and we were ready to start after that meeting. We really loved both of our bathroom remodels. They came out like something out of a magazine to be honest. We were so unsure about how we would pick the right tile or the right paint—so many choices and we were a bit overwhelmed, but Nicholas assured us that he would support us and would help with the design to ensure our vision came to life. We went to the showroom and honestly, it was so easy I was shocked how fast we were able to pick out the right materials. We couldn’t have done better with the tile selections and the countertops. We love them. We thought we needed an interior designer, but we didn’t. We just needed to trust Key Remodeling & Design. I think the attention to detail and software that Key uses helps keep track of things and really keeps the project running smoothly with deadlines, details, and documentation. We were impressed at the attention to detail and the craftsmanship, especially from Key’s tile installer, Tony. The mitering job he did on the tile in both bathrooms to avoid using schluter was fantastic. We honestly would highly recommend spending a little more for this detail. The whole team we met and worked with from Key was amazing and friendly. Nicholas also went above and beyond to move a hideous vent from the middle of our bathroom wall that multiple companies told us couldn’t be moved. He knew that we hated it and he surprised us and handled it while we were out of town. His team found a way to handle it and put it up in the ceiling where it belonged! He did not have to do this and didn’t commit to do this, but he really listened to us and made a mental note for a later date. This is when I really knew that we made the right choice. It’s really the little things. The best compliment I think I could give Nicholas is that he is the best communicator I have ever dealt with. His attention to detail along with his integrity and willingness to make sure we are happy is what sets him apart from everyone else. Also, with any construction project, issues may arise. Anytime an issue came up, it was swiftly taken care of and THAT is not something you find in a lot of companies. The Key team went above and beyond to make our bathrooms absolutely amazing. We will not be looking around for a new contractor for our upcoming kitchen remodel.”

“Ocean Builders is an excellent contractor. Andy (Sensitive Information Hidden), the owner, and Beth (Sensitive Information Hidden) are professional, dependable and always responsive. Their work is of the highest quality. Our condo association renovated our clubhouse in two phases. *Phase 1 (March-August 2021) was the renovation of our Community Room. It included new wind resistant windows, new flooring, granite counters, refacing cabinets, a new 18 foot divider door, adding closets/storage, lighting, fans and insulation. *Phase 2 (June 2024-February 2025) encompassed renovating our Office and Game Room and rebuilding our Fitness Center and Restrooms in a new layout. Besides installing new windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, insulation, lighting, fans, HVAC, plumbing, and bathroom fixtures, they also installed helical pilings to support our building because it was sinking in one area. From the bidding process through the completion of the project, Andy and Beth were easy to work with and things ran smoothly. When an issue arose during construction, we were notified in a timely manner and presented with a reasonable solution to address it.”
