“We found Amy to be very professional. She gave us homework to do before the onsite visit that included all of the colors of our furnishings and finishes to be installed in the new house. This provided Amy a sense of our tastes in order to fine tune the onsite consultation. Onsite she methodically walked us through the rooms placing samples on each wall surface in direct and indirect lighting, guiding us with her understanding of the science of color and combining our tastes for the final selections. Later the same day we received a report documenting all selections. She also ordered large samples that we received 3 days later as well as instructions to purchase paint samples to apply in the actual rooms to be 100% sure of color and color finish. We enjoyed the experience working with Amy and the guidance she provided. We came away feeling positive about our color choices.”

Handcrafted Builders Inc.

“Handcrafted Builders Inc., of Rhinebeck, New York did an excellent job in the renovation of my house on Chestnut St; in the village of Rhinebeck. Gregg and Mark were sensitive to the history of the house and returned it to what it looked like in the 1890's. Their knowledge was encyclopedic and their attention to detail was reassuring whenever we visited to see the progress of the renovation. They knew what professionals to call on for different aspects of the project, whether it was electrical, plumbing, painting, heating and central air conditioning and the most efficient way to insulate an old house which did not have any. It was a thoroughly modern upgrade. Gregg even suggested that a poured concrete floor in my basement would be much better than the rubberized floor that I thought would be sufficient. On the exterior of the brick house Handcrafted recreated the Victorian details that were once present, but long removed. They also had expert staff to install a new kitchen with a modern, contemporary feel, but felt original to the house with antiqued cabinetry and beautiful new oak floors. Since we also added a two-story addition with a side porch, it proved to be just as attractive as the original rooms of the historic house. Here again Handcrafted installed an iron beam to insure that the old brick walls were properly supported. Finally, the cost was what we expected and was well-worth it. Had I another project to consider, I wouldn't hesitate to employ this company again.”
