“Our project to increase the footprint of our kitchen by knocking through into the adjacent room and then adding on a timber clad garden room extension has been life changing. It has really changed the way we live for the better and it is exactly as we envisioned. We weren’t very optimistic about receiving planning permission given that our property is grade II listed but thanks to the knowledge and expertise of Johnson Design (JD) our application was agreed quickly and with few issues. JD, and more specifically Matt Spinks, were with us every step of the way and were always available to discuss any aspect of the build. We had the peace of mind that the builder that we selected during the tender process, Delvin Homes, had completed numerous build projects for former JD clients to a very high standard. Did the build go completely smoothly? No of course it didn’t but then that was to be expected! Unfortunately, the budget that we all had in mind was completely blown out of the water largely due to COVID and the Ukraine war, which affected materials costs and also builders were in high demand. Would we do it again? Yes but thank goodness we don’t need to and are just enjoying our new space each and every day. We would recommend JD to ensure your build project runs as smoothly as possible with access to the best builders. We would also recommend our chosen builder Delvin Homes.”
