“We are in the throes of our joe coffee Palm Springs design and build out - and we couldn’t have asked for a better partner then this team - Duane and his team have been joined at the hip with us - having been a new Englander my whole life they challenged us with innovative designs which kept our east coat joe vibe come alive on the west coast but we adopted the feel and vibe of the west coast / Palm Springs into our new joe coffee Palm Springs location. Soon to be opened in January 2027! Reaponsive, experise, customer focused , and a pleasure to partner with ! Looking forward to watching the new location come alive this fall !”

Mafcohouse

“While we have not fully finished our project (very close) I wanted to write a review to help others who might have some questions. This has been a 10-year dream that is coming true. We first saw a Mafcohouse in Dwell magazine back in 2006 when their lake cottage was a feature. Once we saw the design, layout, and placement within the landscape we started to dream about owning our own Mafcohouse. Fast forward many years we finally had a lot to build on to make our dream a reality. We wanted to have a modern interpretation of an old-school cottage. Very functional, not too large (easy to heat in the winter), blend into the landscape, two bedrooms, office, and a bridge :-). Dan and Dianne (Mafcohouse) were able to design us a building that achieved all of our goals. Dan's careful attention to detail and experience has made the the building process straightforward and enjoyable. Mafco is always a phone call away and has been willing to go out of their way to provide excellent service. We feel very lucky to be working with them. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a custom modern build.”

“November 2016 Sol Cal Construction Review, Interviewing possible contractors is somewhat a leap of faith. You pray the important issues, time frame, cost, workmanship, will work out as planned. In my remodel, all the above concerns were more than met. The project was finished on time, with all cost in line with estimates. The workmanship was a collaboration between contractor and sub-contractors. Once again, the sub-contractors met all expectations and impressed all with their workmanship. The Contractor (Sol Cal Construction, Owner Loren Bose) organized the entire project, worked with my wife on the design, and backed up the sub-contractors when needed. He personally tiled the dining room, kitchen, entry, hallways, guest bath/shower, and master bath/shower. Hug doors including a barn door, textured walls, and painted (Touch-up).
