“Bluestem completed a whole basement transformation (remodel) for me. After consulting other architects and contractors, they provided me with amazing design options within my budget. The results are fantastic and have changed the way I feel about my space. The Bluestem team and their partners were fantastic to work with. I worked from home (with two cats) and the team took care to make sure I had very minimal interruptions and mess. Each and every member of the Bluestem team has been fantastic! - All the carpenters were fantastic at their craft and enjoyable to have in my home each day. In fact, it felt like having handy friends coming in each day. - Stefanie, the designer was a joy to work with. She came in midway into the project and took little crumbs of thoughts I shared and turned them into a cohesive theme. Stefanie didn't miss a beat in turning the few unexpected impediments into opportunities - making the changes seem intentional. There were some staffing transitions during the project that caused some misalignment in our expectations and assumptions, but the team quickly worked to ensure that my needs were met. In fact, I always felt they were doing everything they could to make sure I was delighted. I would absolutely recommend Bluestem to others looking to do a small or large project.”

This was all done in a timely manner, at a very fair price and with great communication!”

“Our project included adding a large addition to our home to accommodate an eat in kitchen, expanding the main floor bathroom along with attached laundry, and updating our mud room/breezeway. Additionally, we refinished all the original hardwoods on the main floor and painted the exterior (stucco). Dan created a beautiful design that included vaulted ceilings in both the addition and the existing mudroom to really open up the space and bring in light, along with a picture window looking out to the backyard. Throughout the process I appreciated that Dan was easy to communicate with, he always made time to take may calls. The Sunrise crew were professional, friendly, and respectful of our home. Our project was overbudget (mostly because of decisions we made as homeowners) and over timeline (circumstances with subs). I highly recommend building in a contingency budget, best case scenario, you don't use it. I would recommend Dan and the Sunrise team.”
