“We just finished a year-long whole-home remodel with Nip Tuck, the best remodeling company in the greater Seattle area. At our first meeting, owner April Bettinger came to the house in person. Of every company we talked to, she was the only owner who showed up herself, spending hours walking the scope and listening. Later, she and lead designer Allison Scott walked us through a budget presentation, the best we've seen by any company. That wasn't a sales pitch; it's just how they operate. They took notes on everything and followed up on every item. The presentation broke the project down by category and by room, with priced options for every alternative. Nothing was ever "we'll figure it out later." Allison set the tone. Her bar was "we want you to LOVE it," and she pushed us toward a home we'd love, not one we'd settle for. She ran a thorough selections process with 3D renderings so we could see it all before committing. When one of her design calls didn't land right in the field, she owned it and made it right. Production was led by Karl Beavers, the most talented project manager we've worked with. Technically sharp, a great communicator, and he genuinely cares. He walked the site with us weekly, answered texts within minutes at any hour, and documented every change upfront. I came in with demanding technical requirements as an engineer, and Karl dug into the specs alongside me until we both understood the answer. I started wanting to control everything, but Allison and Karl earned my trust, and we ended up following their guidance. We even developed a saying: "Allison and Karl are right." Karl's standard was "never settle," and it showed. Everything we flagged was fixed without pushback, and he flagged his own team's misses before we'd noticed them. The production crew (Noah, Austin, Jesse, and Hernan) enjoyed working there, while Rachel, Shannon, Yvonne, and the office team kept communication excellent. They're also a company that listens. When we gave critical feedback, they didn't get defensive. They found the root cause and changed their processes so it wouldn't recur for us or anyone else. April herself sat down with us during production and finalization just to hear us out. Late in the project, when we raised a round of concerns, Tyler Hart, their director of production, personally reached out, coming to the house with April to walk through every item and align on expectations. That says a lot about how seriously they take their work. Karl and Tyler stayed with us the entire year, just as responsive after completion as on day one. That's what the best in the market looks like. A year in, we love the house, and it is exceptionally functional. We didn't settle, we got exactly what we wanted, and we LOVE it. We're doing a hardscape project with a different company, and the contrast is night and day. We'd hire them again in a heartbeat, and we're glad to count Karl as a friend.”

Gary Potter and his staff worked closely with me to develop a detailed master plan, including significant electrical and plumbing upgrades, and then I worked with their in-house designer to select the flooring, bath and kitchen fixtures and tile, cabinets, quartz countertops, molding and trim, electric fireplace, etc. Her suggestions were always on-the-mark. Once construction began, I always knew what was on the schedule. The lead carpenter met with me weekly and consulted whenever there was a question. He is a true perfectionist with an amazing eye for detail. Gary and his staff were always easily available for consultations, too. Potter’s sub-contractors were also first-rate. The finished condo is absolutely beautiful, and just what I wanted. A great design that was perfectly executed.”
