We just ordered a new front door similar to your inspiration pic, in black, with 2 sidelights. i am having them do the entire area in black, including the sidelights. we do not have a transom. Our current door is like yours, and i would worry black would make the entry too dark, particularly since you have shades on your sidelights.

Would not have gone that route. Your door unit is nothing like the one in your inspiration photo. It works there because there is very little black and a lot of glass.

I'd 100% remove those mini blinds - this pic is from the blog I pasted in above, it's more similar to your architecture than the inspo
