Thanks for writing about this project. I love a challenge when designing gardens - and with the sloped terrain and clay soil to contend with, this project definitely was a challenge! I am looking forward to reading what people think about this one.

Necessitated by a rescue pup the 30 sqft powder bath was rennovated to add some visual drama. I removed the popcorn ceiling and wallpapered it with a graphic Graham and Brown dark charcoal paper with bronze, copper and gold. The wall behind the vanity had to be built out 4" to accommodate a drain pipe from an upper level bathroom. That 4" build out allowed me to install a wall mounted faucet in rose gold over a marble vessel sink scored at Habitat for Humanity. The bump out was tiled with 3 dimensional black tile floor to ceiling and the "vanity" was customized from a narrow accent console. We installed a motion sensor light and replaced a traditional door with a full light pocket door with rice paper. I will be creating an art glass insert once I'm finished. Two painted walls of coral and black penney tile both sides of the vanity. I built a tp dispenser into the wall of the vanity.
