Barn Conversion Lounge

Poppy Noble Interiors were approached to turn a dark living room into a a bright contemporary family room.

The lounge in a beautifully renovated barn was in diamond need of some TLC. It was dark and ill used.

Shelving Decor
Our client was an avid reader and memorabilia collector. It was important for there to be an area to showcase all of these items for all to see.
Sofa
Main seating area with large 4 seater sofa and 2 accent chairs. Dressed with purple and teal cushions to introduce a pop of colour into the space.

Bespoke library area with recessed lighting to showcase clients collections.

Introducing roman blinds in place of curtains has enabled more natural light to flood the area.
Reading Area
This room is an L shaped room which means walking through one half to get to the other. Splitting the room into different areas has meant that each area gets used at different times of the day.
Barn Conversion Lounge
Cozy corner introduced into the deep recess. A bright accent chair helps draw your eye to the back of the room.

Large chairs were placed opposite the library area to encourage use of the space.
Library Area
The beam above the fireplace has been stripped back along with the beams to lighten the area and help lift the the ceiling. With the help of a roof window this back area is now flooded with natural light.
Log Burner
Specifying accessories and dressing the area has given the client a space for their memories to be on show and enjoyed.
