Hamilton King was brought in to design the conversion of a Grade II Listed house from 3 flats into a family home. The house hadn’t been touched for approximately 30+ years so a complete renovation was required. Hamilton King was briefed to create a ‘shabby chic’ family home with open plan spaces to the ground floor, including a large eat-in kitchen with adjoining bright and contemporary dining area with views into the garden. The upper floors were also converted to allow for generous family living with the creation of a master suite, guest bedrooms, and playful children’s spaces. Hamilton King was responsible for the concept design, gaining necessary Planning Permissions (both Householder and Listed Building Consent), and managing the complete build through to project completion.
