Located at the edge of a steep slope, this garden's overgrown and deeply shaded backyard was unusable for recreational purposes. Despite the traditional building style, a modern landscape design with simple, rough, concrete walled levels was proposed. To keep consistence with the traditional, more whimsical detailed residence, the contrasting plain concrete surfaces were complimented with lush vegetation and diverse tile patterns and client objects inlayed in the lawn.
