The guest studio features a laid back, low maintenance design that will suit any guest. The design features T&G panelling to the bedhead wall, accented with marble wall sconces and floating oak bedside drawers. The same pale green grey colour is used for the walls, woodwork and ceiling to make the space unified and feel more spacious.
Woven vinyl flooring gives the look of sisal and provides a seamless flow from the outdoor terrace to living space, that is easy to maintain and can withstand water and dirt.
To the lower half of the T&G panelled pantry kitchen, bold India Yellow is used to inject colour, well placed hooks provide additional storage, and the curtained counter conceals the fridge, filter tap fittings and food drawer. A reclaimed Iroko Lab table top was utilised for the pantry wall shelves, worktop and desktop.
Sliding doors from the studio lead directly to the outdoor terrace so contemporary outdoor lounge furniture was chosen for versatility, and can be moved easily between the two.
A wall-hung desk with drawers serves as a breakfast bar as well as desk space, it features acoustic T&G panelling to the wall to reduce the TV noise reverberation.
Linen sheers soften the glazing and create privacy and blackout roller blinds have been added for restful sleep.
