This kitchen was the ultimate long-distance affair, with the owners located 1100kms away in Broken Hill, trying to
coordinate a complete renovation and extension of their quaint cottage home. From one initial concept meeting,
we worked our way via email, phone and post to create the kitchen you see today.

The space has generous proportions with towering ceilings. Our challenges; to create a shaker inspired kitchen that
maximises full-height storage yet doesn't appear too fussy, and to bring about a modern edge whilst still remaining
sympathetic to the age of the home.

We really wanted to capture this young families' spirit and their love for all things green. In order to maximise the
available light, we tempered the bold colour selection with elegant neutral benchtops and expanses of white. The
end product is a kitchen that is bright and fun but sits easily within the space.
