I like the U shape concept w/either a walk-in pastry or a wall of pantry doors on yhe Tighlt and an open dining area behind the viewer. Possibly small ventilation windows between upper & lower countertops. Add skylight w/ suspended pots and pan racks. Mount utensil bar L/R & C of rangetop

Cabinets too dark, but I like the full backsplash rather than the weird half way up the wall thing.
