PRIVATE VILLA
This project comes from client’s desire to create a prestigious residence, where stone finds its original static function, even more than a decorative one, as the main material of local building tradition. Following the current housing choices, the villa, which is entirely built of stone blocks, fully meets the needs of bio-compatibility and environmental sustainability. However, the strength of the structure is made aesthetically “light” by the dramatic effect of the architectural decorations: doors and windows surrounds, string courses, columns, balustrades, bas-reliefs, masks…which are part of the local baroque tradition.
