this kitchen remodel was done on a budget with the homeowner supplying a good bit of help. the total cost of everything was around $28,000. now thats remarkable considering this was divided into two rooms. the client did all the demo, ceiling, and drywall work.
the cabinets are custom made by rich warchol. birch shaker doors with x lg stainless t-bars, frameless plywood construction and solid wood soft close drawers. granite tops, recycled franke sink from a previous ripout helped to keep the cost down. the sub zero refrigerator was $650 on craigs list, the icemaker didnt work but a $50 part diagnosed and repaired by paul was all it took. we then fashioned custom wood panels to rehab the dated look. the island is a dark chocolate stain. the hood was another $300 find by paul on ebay.
alot of kitchen designers may not appreciate proactive clients that want to help, but this was a great experience and we made good money.
