The Mesh Kitchen
The elegant Killara House was the perfect canvas. A mixed collection of art pieces from Asia, Europe and Australia and with the clients’ mixed cultural ancestry, the design formed fluently from a beautiful synthesis of art and culture. The spatial planning and functional aspects were defined by the clients’ way of living and how it would evolve over time. Classic joinery details were refined, using native timbers, timeless natural stone and solid brass to accentuate modern design. This contemporary redesign is a perfect example of how unique people and places can inspire something beautiful.
