ATELIER NOIR INTERIORSWE LOVE TO DO UP THE POWDER ROOM, THIS IS ALWAYS A FUN SPACE TO PLAY WITH, AND IN THIS DESIGN WE WENT MOODY AND MODER. ADDING THE DARK TILES BEHIND THE TOILET, AND PAIRING THAT WITH THE DARK PENDANT LIGHT, AND THE THICKER EDGE DETAIL ON THE VANITY CREATES A SPACE THAT IS EASILY MAINTAINED AND ALSO BEAUTIFUL FOR YEARS TO COME!
TVL Creative Ltd.This project was not only full of many bathrooms but also many different aesthetics. The goals were fourfold, create a new master suite, update the basement bath, add a new powder bath and my favorite, make them all completely different aesthetics.
Primary Bath-This was originally a small 60SF full bath sandwiched in between closets and walls of built-in cabinetry that blossomed into a 130SF, five-piece primary suite. This room was to be focused on a transitional aesthetic that would be adorned with Calcutta gold marble, gold fixtures and matte black geometric tile arrangements.
Powder Bath-A new addition to the home leans more on the traditional side of the transitional movement using moody blues and greens accented with brass. A fun play was the asymmetry of the 3-light sconce brings the aesthetic more to the modern side of transitional. My favorite element in the space, however, is the green, pink black and white deco tile on the floor whose colors are reflected in the details of the Australian wallpaper.
Hall Bath-Looking to touch on the home's 70's roots, we went for a mid-mod fresh update. Black Calcutta floors, linear-stacked porcelain tile, mixed woods and strong black and white accents. The green tile may be the star but the matte white ribbed tiles in the shower and behind the vanity are the true unsung heroes.

Melissa Sakell, CKBDThis project was such a treat for me to get to work on. It is a family friends kitchen and this remodel is something they have wanted to do since moving into their home so I was honored to help them with this makeover. We pretty much started from scratch, removed a drywall pantry to create space to move the ovens to a wall that made more sense and create an amazing focal point with the new wood hood. For finishes light and bright was key so the main cabinetry got a brushed white finish and the island grounds the space with its darker finish. Some glitz and glamour were pulled in with the backsplash tile, countertops, lighting and subtle arches in the cabinetry. The connected powder room got a similar update, carrying the main cabinetry finish into the space but we added some unexpected touches with a patterned tile floor, hammered vessel bowl sink and crystal knobs. The new space is welcoming and bright and sure to house many family gatherings for years to come.
Paxton Place DesignWe wanted to make a statement in the small powder bathroom with the color blue! Hand-painted wood tiles are on the accent wall behind the mirror, toilet, and sink, creating the perfect pop of design. Brass hardware and plumbing is used on the freestanding sink to give contrast to the blue and green color scheme. An elegant mirror stands tall in order to make the space feel larger. Light green penny floor tile is put in to also make the space feel larger than it is. We decided to add a pop of a complimentary color with a large artwork that has the color orange. This allows the space to take a break from the blue and green color scheme. This powder bathroom is small but mighty.
Kimball Starr Interior DesignHave you ever had a powder room that’s just too small? A clever way to fix that is to break into the adjacent room! This powder room shared a wall with the water heater closet, so we relocated the water heater and used that closet space to add a sink area. Instant size upgrade!
Excellent FinishComplete turnkey design and renovation project. Clients where in need of space so we created a wall cabinet for more storage space. the use of hidden under cabinet lighting and under the toilet pan adds to the wow. the mirror is practial with the oval shape that softens the room and cohesive with the rest of the room
