Kitchen Design ConceptsThe builder we partnered with for this beauty original wanted to use his cabinet person (who builds and finishes on site) but the clients advocated for manufactured cabinets - and we agree with them! These homeowners were just wonderful to work with and wanted materials that were a little more "out of the box" than the standard "white kitchen" you see popping up everywhere today - and their dog, who came along to every meeting, agreed to something with longevity, and a good warranty!
The cabinets are from WW Woods, their Eclipse (Frameless, Full Access) line in the Aspen door style
- a shaker with a little detail. The perimeter kitchen and scullery cabinets are a Poplar wood with their Seagull stain finish, and the kitchen island is a Maple wood with their Soft White paint finish. The space itself was a little small, and they loved the cabinetry material, so we even paneled their built in refrigeration units to make the kitchen feel a little bigger. And the open shelving in the scullery acts as the perfect go-to pantry, without having to go through a ton of doors - it's just behind the hood wall!
Reier ConstructionA perfect place for pouring that first cup of coffee in the morning or ending the evening with a nice glass of wine.
Srote & Co Architects | Planners | InteriorsThis architecture and interior design project was introduced to us by the client’s contractor after their villa had been damaged extensively by a fire. The entire main level was destroyed with exception of the front study.
Srote & Co reimagined the interior layout of this St. Albans villa to give it an "open concept" and applied universal design principles to make sure it would function for our clients as they aged in place. The universal approach is seen in the flush flooring transitions, low pile rugs and carpets, wide walkways, layers of lighting and in the seated height countertop and vanity. For convenience, the laundry room was relocated to the master walk-in closet. This allowed us to create a dedicated pantry and additional storage off the kitchen where the laundry was previously housed.
All interior selections and furnishings shown were specified or procured by Srote & Co Architects.
K Two Designs, Inc.The vent hood was updated and subway tile was added to at the backsplash, which would have been authentic to the home's arts and crafts style. A kitchen island in Taj Mahal quartzite added light and durability to this hardworking kitchen.
Cosgrove Kitchen & BathThis uplifting, cozy kitchen and dining area are comprised of sunshine yellow craftsman-style cabinets (with built-in under-cabinet wine rack) and refrigerator covers, sparkling white subway tile, floral brocade wallpaper, gorgeous accent lighting (including a tree-branch themed crystal chandelier), custom-built storage benches, and red/white/yellow accent chairs to tie the whole look together. Color, light, and careful placement design maximize the space and natural light, providing ample storage and excellent maneuverability. The extra-deep copper sink is simultaneously decorative and utilitarian. The beautiful wood country-style table and rooster-themed accents tie the whole look together beautifully.
DreamMaker Bath & KitchenThis touch faucet sink comes with a view of spring gardens and bird baths! Natural cherry cabinetry with craftsman style cabinet hardware contrasts with white quartz countertops. Green walls, red kitchen valances and a crackle glass backsplash add color and classic style to the newly remodeled space. Fred Golden Photography©
