Nous avons débuté ce projet de rénovation de maison en 2021.
Les propriétaires ont fait l’acquisition d’une grande maison de 240m2 dans les hauteurs de Chambéry, avec pour objectif de la rénover eux-même au cours des prochaines années.
Pour vivre sur place en même temps que les travaux, ils ont souhaité commencer par rénover un appartement attenant à la maison. Nous avons dessiné un plan leur permettant de raccorder facilement une cuisine au réseau existant. Pour cela nous avons imaginé une estrade afin de faire passer les réseaux au dessus de la dalle. Sur l’estrade se trouve la chambre et la salle de bain.
L’atout de cet appartement reste la véranda située dans la continuité du séjour, elle est pensée comme un jardin d’hiver. Elle apporte un espace de vie baigné de lumière en connexion directe avec la nature.
Cathie Hong InteriorsThis 1956 John Calder Mackay home had been poorly renovated in years past. We kept the 1400 sqft footprint of the home, but re-oriented and re-imagined the bland white kitchen to a midcentury olive green kitchen that opened up the sight lines to the wall of glass facing the rear yard. We chose materials that felt authentic and appropriate for the house: handmade glazed ceramics, bricks inspired by the California coast, natural white oaks heavy in grain, and honed marbles in complementary hues to the earth tones we peppered throughout the hard and soft finishes. This project was featured in the Wall Street Journal in April 2022.
Hobsons ChoiceThe shape of the bathroom, and the internal characteristics of the property, provided the ingredients to create a challenging layout design. The sloping ceiling, an internal flue from the ground-floor woodburning stove, and the exposed timber architecture.
The puzzle was solved by the inclusion of a dwarf wall behind the bathtub in the centre of the room. It created the space for a large walk-in shower that wasn’t compromised by the sloping ceiling or the flue.
The exposed timber and brickwork of the Cotswold property add to the style of the space and link the master ensuite to the rest of the home.
Alair Homes ArlingtonThis light-filled, modern master suite above a 1948 Colonial in Arlington, VA was a Contractor of the Year Award Winner, Residential Addition $100-$250K.
The bedroom and bath are separated by translucent, retractable doors. A floating, wall-mounted vanity and toilet with a curb-less shower create a contemporary atmosphere.

Melinda Mandell Interior DesignSome spaces, like this bathroom, simply needed a little face lift so we made some changes to personalize the look for our clients. The framed, beveled mirror is actually a recessed medicine cabinet with hidden storage! On either side of the mirror are linear, modern, etched-glass and black metal light fixtures. Marble is seen throughout the home and we added it here as a backsplash. The new faucet compliments the lighting above.
BroseleyWe carried out a full refurbishment and remodelling of this wonderful grade II listed villa, located in North Kensington.
Complete with a home library, open fireplaces throughout and use of original wooden beams. This home merges the old and the new perfectly.

Malone's Landscape Design | BuildThe master bath has a serene spa like feel with carrera marble counters, floor to ceiling grey marble tiles and walk in wet room with soaking tub. The natural wood ceiling and heated floors warm the room. The custom whit oak vanity reflects the simple modern decor throughout the house. Wall mounted living brass fixtures are the perfect icing on the cake.
