Kitchen Design ConceptsThese clients had recently moved to Texas and really needed to remodel a few spaces in the home - the kitchen was number 1 priority! Wanting a clean and modern update, while keeping the room warm and inviting, we think we hit the mark.
Cabinets are from Ultracraft. The perimeter is their Metropolis Door in Melamine - Silver Elm vertical grain. The island we contrasted with the Acrilux II Lux door in Pure White (gloss). Cabinet hardware from from Atlas Homewares, the IT pull in brushed nickel.
Counters we were able to pull two different materials together. The perimeter counter material was Pure White from Caesarstone - very simple. Brought in some pattern with Quartzmaster Calcutta Borghini on the backsplash, and on the island. The mitered waterfall edge gives it an extra "oomph" that we just love.
For fixtures, we kept things fairly simple. A Blanco super single bowl sink, and California Faucets Corsano Pull down at the island. We paired with a matching soap dispenser and air switch.
The appliances were also important, so we took some time mixing and matching what was needed and what worked well within the budget. From Wolf we have a gas cooktop, Double oven and Microwave. We opted for a Best Vent Hood and blower, Electrolux Refrigerator ad Bosch Dishwasher to round out the selections.
UserThis clean profile, streamlined kitchen embodies today's transitional look. The white painted perimeter cabinetry contrasts the grey stained island, while perfectly blending cool and warm tones.
Toulmin Kitchen & BathThe vast, seamless kitchen island has a Zodiaq Quartz Countertops by Dupont with decorative quartz backsplash. The Elkay farmhouse double bowl sink is a smart divide model. The faucet is a Touch20 touchless faucet by Delta. The custom cabinetry is by Shiloh and the double oven is by Bosch. A Wolf induction cooktop has a Vent-Hood ducted range hood. Featured in the April 2016 issue of Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms, this chic two-bedroom pied-à-terre in the heart of London took a full year to complete, but the final result was well worth the wait! "The aim was to create a feeling of comfort and to have a boutique hotel-like finish, and both bedrooms have access to their own shower room"
When this townhouse was bought by Roy & Florence Barker, it took a team of specialist builders almost a year to turn it into the property of their dreams. Designer Thomson Carpenter was enlisted to tranform the property into the ultimate London bolthole. The owners vision was to create a chic Parisian-style pied-à-terre but they were also happy to incorporate some contemporary elements. The property features lots of antiques as well as contemporary and custom made products such as reclaimed French marble from Bourgogne Stone and cabinetry by Plain English.
Drummonds Double Crake Vanity Basin with Arabescato marble and Carron Shower sit perfectly with the marble walls and floors of the master en suite. Thomson chose to use marble for the wall coverings and floor in order to create an opulent finish in the ensuite shower room. Detailed panelling can be found throughout the property which was inspired by the owners favourite hotel Le Bristol in Paris. The custom made Single Calder with Black Marquina oozes a character and Parisian appeal in the ensuite shower room.
Aspen Design RoomCustom cabinets and timeless furnishings create this striking mountain modern kitchen. Stainless appliances with black accent details and modern lighting fixtures contrast with the distressed cabinet finish and wood flooring. Creating a space that is at once comfortable and modern.

Proving that rules were made to be broken, BuildHer Collective ordered two-toned custom-made designer curtains from DIY Blinds. They worked alongside our team to handpick material from Warwick Fabrics and lifted the matte black curtain rail above the top of the windows to highlight those high Victorian ceilings.

Background/description: The house was built in 1908, my clients are only the 3rd owners of the house. The prior owner lived there from 1940s until she died at age of 98! The old home had loads of character and charm but was in pretty bad condition and desperately needed updates. The clients purchased the home a few years ago and did some work before they moved in (roof, HVAC, electrical) but decided to live in the house for a 6 months or so before embarking on the next renovation phase. I had worked with the clients previously on the wife's office space and a few projects in a previous home including the nursery design for their first child so they reached out when they were ready to start thinking about the interior renovations. The goal was to respect and enhance the historic architecture of the home but make the spaces more functional for this couple with two small kids. Clients were open to color and some more bold/unexpected design choices. The design style is updated traditional with some eclectic elements. An early design decision was to incorporate a dark colored french range which would be the focal point of the kitchen and to do dark high gloss lacquered cabinets in the adjacent coffee bar, and we ultimately went with dark green.
