DK HomesWe had the opportunity to come alongside this homeowner and demo an old cottage and rebuild this new year-round home for them. We worked hard to keep an authentic feel to the lake and fit the home nicely to the space.
We focused on a small footprint and, through specific design choices, achieved a layout the homeowner loved. A major goal was to have the kitchen, dining, and living all walk out at the lake level. We also managed to sneak a master suite into this level (check out that ceiling!).
The Kitchen DesignerLarge laundry with timber look gloss laminate benchtop to match adjacent kitchen cabinets. Gloss laminate doors to cabinets. Glass splashback to match adjacent kitchen. Linen cupboard with laundry chute from upstairs childrens quarters. Drying cupboard under the stairs to the right of the linen cupboard/laundry chute.
Changras & Frey Construction Inc.The blue cement tiles with the gray painted cabinets are a real statement. The white oak bench top adds a touch of warmth to the white wainscoting.
Jameson Design GroupThe new laundry layout features built in compact washer/dryer and painted shaker cabinetry.
Joni Spear Interior DesignCustom cabinets painted in Sherwin Williams, "Deep Sea Dive" adorn the hard working combined laundry and mud room. The encaustic cement tile does overtime in durability and theatrics.
Kevin MausethThis is a cabin in the woods off the beaten path in rural Mississippi. It's owner has a refined, rustic style that appears throughout the home. The porches, many windows, great storage, open concept, tall ceilings, upscale finishes and comfortable yet stylish furnishings all contribute to the heightened livability of this space. It's just perfect for it's owner to get away from everything and relax in her own, custom tailored space.
