Harwood KitchensUpdated Laundry & Pantry room. This customer needed extra storage for her laundry room as well as pantry storage as it is just off of the kitchen. Storage for small appliances was a priority as well as a design to maximize the space without cluttering the room. A new sink cabinet, upper cabinets, and a broom pantry were added on one wall. A small bench was added to set laundry bins while folding or loading the washing machines. This allows for easier access and less bending down to the floor for a couple in their retirement years. Tall pantry units with rollout shelves were installed. Another base cabinet with drawers and an upper cabinet for crafting items as included. Better storage inside the closet was added with rollouts for better access for the lower items. The space is much better utilized and offers more storage and better organization.
MIREWORKSWe love to do work on homes like this one! Like many in the Baton Rouge area, this 70's ranch style was in need of an update. As you walked in through the front door you were greeted by a small quaint foyer, to the right sat a dedicated formal dining, which is now a keeping/breakfast area. To the left was a small closed off den, now a large open dining area. The kitchen was segregated from the main living space which was large but secluded. Now, all spaces interact seamlessly across one great room. The couple cherishes the freedom they have to travel between areas and host gatherings. What makes these homes so great is the potential they hold. They are often well built and constructed simply, which allows for large and impressive updates!

The interior Dutch door to the room allows for temporary--but friendly--containment of the sometimes overly-enthusiastic pooch.
The side door leads to an exterior porch, and either the back yard or the street.

AFT ConstructionWe worked on a complete remodel of this home. We modified the entire floor plan as well as stripped the home down to drywall and wood studs. All finishes are new, including a brand new kitchen that was the previous living room.
Wood Wise Design & RemodelingThe original laundry was cramped, dark, and unorganized. This renovation yielded a room full of storage for out of sight organization, plenty of countertop for folding clothse, and large sink with subway tile backsplash.
