Often times the laundry room is forgotten or simply not given any consideration. Here is a sampling of my work with clients that take their laundry as serious business! In addition, take advantage of the footprint of the room and make it into something more functional for other projects and storage.

Benson Homes LLCThis Virginia Beach laundry and mud room renovation was part of a larger kitchen remodel, and involved integrating a hallway, pantry, and laundry room into one large space to create more efficient storage and a handy place for the family to transition when leaving and returning home.
The new, custom cabinets and granite countertops carry on from the kitchen and provide plentiful space for storage, cleaning, and working.
Sweet Water Woodworks, LLCSmart use of strorage means that all that you need to do laundry is within an arms reach. We made the most of this space by hiding the ironing board in the drawer for ease of use and tidiness when the job is complete.
randbollThe Homeowner custom cut/finished a butcher block top (at the same thickness (1") of the granite counter-top), to be placed on the farm sink which increased the amount of available space to fold laundry, etc.
Note: the faucet merely swings out of the way.
2nd note: a square butcher block of the proper desired length and width and thickness can be purchased online, and then finished (round the corners to proper radius of Farm Sink corners, finish with several coats of clear coat polyurethane), as the homeowner did.

Medford RemodelingOn the reverse side of the room, we stacked a new washer and dryer for a better use of space. Another counter area and wash sink were installed directly beside the washer and dryer, with storage drawers and cabinets underneath and a pull-out broom closet on the end. Another clothing rack was installed above the counter along with upper storage cabinets. For the backsplash, a neutral glass tile was laid in a herringbone pattern to create visual interest.
