S Squared Design, LLCThis transformation came at an unexpected time. Hurricane Harvey left this family, like so many others in Houston, with feet of water in their home and nothing else to do than rebuild and get their lives back together. This whole home remodel was about being fresh, new and livable. Whites, creams, warm greys and soft tan colors throughout the home gave lightness to the the previous home which was a little on the darker side. Natural materials, such as marble, granite and a solid white oak flooring that was hand stained on site, gave a natural feeling and a softness to some of the other materials used. Storage is another important part especially in kitchens and bathrooms. The new custom kitchen cabinets we designed to reach the ceiling to gain as much useful space as we could get. The bathrooms we designed for our client's needs, drawers were a great choice in this case! We added a little color on the walls in the the guest baths and laundry room which has its own sink set in a suede finish granite.

Susan Brook InteriorsThis laundry was part of a full first floor remodel. You can see the before picture of this space and see that the room is slightly split, as we added a powder room that is entered from the garage as it used from the outdoor pool area. We re-used some of the original kitchen cabinetry and had them painted. New lighting, mosaic tile, porcelain floor and plenty of storage give a new life to this space.
Decor Kitchens & BathroomsThe utility room carries on with the shaker style door, making a smooth transition from room to room. Having a tall unit is great for storing brooms, hoovers etc. The wall unit is also great for extra storage.
Kitchens & Baths by DesignThis growing family wanted a logical design for their multi use laundry room. Both adults are tall, so the laundry pair is raised on a tiled pedestal. There is a drain in the pedestal with a sloped floor in the event of a leak. The cats eat in the laundry room, so there is room for their bowls. The litter box is hidden under the counter, and the cabinet right of the laundry is storage for food, litter, etc. Open cabinets above the washer and dryer provide storage for laundry products. A rod allows for hanging clean laundry, and a closet provides storage for the vaccuum and other cleaning products.
Boxwood AvenueDelve into the vintage modern charm of our laundry room design from the Rocky Terrace project by Boxwood Avenue Interiors. Painted in a striking green hue, this space seamlessly combines vintage elements with contemporary functionality. A monochromatic color scheme, featuring Sherwin Williams' "Dried Thyme," bathes the room in a soothing, harmonious ambiance. Vintage-inspired plumbing fixtures and bridge faucets above a classic apron front sink add an intentional touch, while dark oil-rubbed bronze hardware complements timeless shaker cabinets. Beadboard backsplash and a peg rail break up the space beautifully, with a herringbone brick floor providing a classic twist. Carefully curated vintage decor pieces from the Mercantile and unexpected picture lights above artwork add sophistication, making this laundry room more than just utilitarian but a charming, functional space.
