Synthesis Design + Architecture
This home office for a private personal investment adviser responds to the clients brief of a discrete yet sculptural design solution for a home office by conceptually draping a dynamic surface over an orthogonal arrangement of the required home office elements including a work desk, storage units, printer, paper shredder etc. The fluid geometric form is articulated as a series of alternating CNC milled birch plywood ribs. The frosted storage Perspex storage elements are internally illuminated with LED’s to gently articulate the floating boxes within the fluid field of curved ribs. With a strict budget, this project was an exercise in realizing complex geometries with limited finances.

Christie Hausmann Design
This client wanted a fresh start, taking only minimal items from her old house when she moved. We gave the kitchen and half bath a facelift, and then decorated the rest of the house with all new furniture and decor, while incorporating her unique and funky art and family pieces. The result is a house filled with fun and unexpected surprises, one of our favorites to date!

Katherine Stern Design
A kitchen corner office does not have to be part of the cabinetry. To make it personal on a tight budget, Katherine used two inexpensive black, matte laminated doors and supported them on three used filing cabinets found in a junk shop. Katherine spray painted the cabinets in bright colors and paired the desk with an inexpensive chair from IKEA. Functional and dynamic for a small corner home office.
