Owen Homes LLCContinuing the rustic feel into the interior of the home, we finished the interior with neutral and earth tones, stoned archways, real hardwood floors, and rustic lighting.
Architectural Resource LLCOur Clients, the proud owners of a landmark 1860’s era Italianate home, desired to greatly improve their daily ingress and egress experience. With a growing young family, the lack of a proper entry area and attached garage was something they wanted to address. They also needed a guest suite to accommodate frequent out-of-town guests and visitors. But in the homeowner’s own words, “He didn’t want to be known as the guy who ‘screwed up’ this beautiful old home”. Our design challenge was to provide the needed space of a significant addition, but do so in a manner that would respect the historic home. Our design solution lay in providing a “hyphen”: a multi-functional daily entry breezeway connector linking the main house with a new garage and in-law suite above.
Gerry Dunleavy ConstructionThe spacious entry featuring bench seat with storage, t & g beadboard with coat hooks is a perfect place to store your outerwear. Toe kick heater provides heat in this area.
LCI DesignView of the generous foyer, it was decided to retain the original travertine flooring since it works well with the new bamboo flooring . The entry closet bifold doors were replaced with custom made shoji doors. A Mies Van Der Rohe 3 seater bench was purchased , along with an asian wool area carpet and asian antique console in vibrant reds. The walls are painted Benjamin Moore , 'Brandon Beige'.
Visbeen ArchitectsPine Valley is not your ordinary lake cabin. This craftsman-inspired design offers everything you love about summer vacation within the comfort of a beautiful year-round home. Metal roofing and custom wood trim accent the shake and stone exterior, while a cupola and flower boxes add quaintness to sophistication.
The main level offers an open floor plan, with multiple porches and sitting areas overlooking the water. The master suite is located on the upper level, along with two additional guest rooms. A custom-designed craft room sits just a few steps down from the upstairs study.
Billiards, a bar and kitchenette, a sitting room and game table combine to make the walkout lower level all about entertainment. In keeping with the rest of the home, this floor opens to lake views and outdoor living areas.
Studio 511The elegant Entry Hall to this apartment is lined with hand painted Gracie wall-paper. The metal railing was re-worked using the original metal pieces and more detail was added along with carved brass inserts. The border of the floor is embellished with an inlay Greek key. Interior design by Ashley Whittaker.
The Lee W. Robinson CompanyReflective surfaces abound in this foyer including the silver and celadon wallpaper by Mary McDonald. This eagle table by Thom Filicia is a Georgian-inspired piece.
Hendrixson's FurnitureA beautiful Syracuse Stickley sideboard anchors the hand laid stone wall. To the right begins the windowed grand hallway which leads you through the entire home from side to side.
