Living the InteriorPeriod details about in this house and here in the hallway the floor needed centre stage. The long, narrow hall has been kept an off white to let all coloured tiles sing. Upcycled furniture and neutral accessories break up the walls but also provide much needed storage.

Stealth designHerne Hill, hall
Halls are tricky to get right. You want them to be welcoming and to set the tone for the rest of the house but because they touch each of the other rooms in the house they can end up very neutral. My clients faced with painting their hall cream again took the plunge and asked me to help.
We chose a lovely soft Liberty wallpaper in one of their classic peacock prints and a lilac to tone in with it. Mission accomplished.

Living the InteriorKeeping the hallway light and airy was important to draw any natural light along the narrow space. Brushed gold touches with wood details and a neutral colour palette keeps the space simple.

Appena entri in questa fantastica casa resti colpito dalla madia, ispirata agli anni 50′ presenta due vetrinette nella finitura Fumè che lasciano intravedere al loro interno dei bellissimi oggetti. Ma non è finita qui! In particolare il taglio geometrico dei cassetti e il meccanismo di apertura, senza maniglia, rappresentano il giusto mix tra modernità e fascino.

È un oggetto dal fortissimo impatto scenografico e della decorazione, in grado di arricchire e “illuminare” il living.
