The contemporary master suite features a standout custom upholstered headboard with wood headboard frame and upholstered bed frame. The owners of this home, completed in 2017, also installed blind pockets, to allow them to darken the room with blackout shades when needed, that also conceal sheer custom drapery that showcases the lake views from full floor to ceiling windows while also softening the look and feel of the room. The cove ceiling includes hidden LED lighting which adds architectural detail and function. The intimate sitting area in front of the floor to ceiling windows gives an added warmth to the room while the wide plank French oak floors in a neutral palate allow the elements of this room to really shine.

For femininity and romance, we used soft neutrals and pale pink. Textured linens play well into the elegant chandelier.

Warm and masculine, this industrial chic style bedroom has become a trend even in suburban and more rural areas. Combine utilitarian items with worn textures and the warmth of raw, aged woods to achieve the look! The carpet is the High Hand style by Mohawk Flooring in the Crossroads color. The accent wall was first painted with Sherwin Williams Black Magic paint (SW6991) and then created using wooden pallets. It uses 3, 4, and 5 inch wide by 1/2” thick boards.

At 166 sq ft, the size of the living/sleeping area in this studio apartment was quite challenging. We made it work by taking careful dimensions of the space as well as every piece of furniture before purchasing. Even the height of the printer mattered as it had to fit between the filing cabinet and the desk. The busy student who lives here had two primary needs: sleeping and studying. Upon completion we felt we met those needs quite well.
