M.A Architecture
Although small in footprint, this master bedroom feels light and airy due to large window groupings and vaulted ceilings.
Shigetomi Pratt Architects, Inc.
The Master Bedroom has views to gardens on opposite sides of the space. A cool celery green plaster veneer at the bed wall relates the room to the abundance of greenery of the adjoining landscape.
China Furniture and Arts
Adopted from an 18th century French design, this secretary desk is hand-painted with idyllic Chinese country scenery on a black matte background. The intricately hand painted details make it a perfect piece to add beauty to your home.

Located within a gated golf course community on the shoreline of Buzzards Bay this residence is a graceful and refined Gambrel style home. The traditional lines blend quietly into the surroundings.

Both of these houses were on the Cool House Tour of 2008. They were newly constructed homes, designed to fit into their spot in the neighborhood and to optimize energy efficiency. They have a bit of a contemporary edge to them while maintaining a certain warmth and "homey-ness".

A New Day - Interior Design Studio
A guest bedroom that doubles as living and play space. With a low ceiling and limited natural light, we opted for wrap around colour to make for a cosy cocoon-like space. The green of the walls and ceiling connects to the courtyard garden outside.
Essex Grand
I mixed this green wall paint to emulate the greenery of a forest. In contrast, I paired the bedding with cool silvers and crisp whites.
Bench at the foot of the bed was a great find for $70 at local home goods store!

Close-up of the tufted bed. Pillows in black and white mix beautifully with the blue striped pillows and teal grasscloth. Navy blue ceramic lamps sit atop mirrored bedside tables. The zebra bench brings a lot of character to the room and coordinates with the black and white of the adjacent primary bathroom.
Vision Interiors
Packed with cottage attributes, Sunset View features an open floor plan without sacrificing intimate spaces. Detailed design elements and updated amenities add both warmth and character to this multi-seasonal, multi-level Shingle-style-inspired home. Columns, beams, half-walls and built-ins throughout add a sense of Old World craftsmanship. Opening to the kitchen and a double-sided fireplace, the dining room features a lounge area and a curved booth that seats up to eight at a time. When space is needed for a larger crowd, furniture in the sitting area can be traded for an expanded table and more chairs. On the other side of the fireplace, expansive lake views are the highlight of the hearth room, which features drop down steps for even more beautiful vistas. An unusual stair tower connects the home’s five levels. While spacious, each room was designed for maximum living in minimum space.
