Informal gravel provides stable footing to walk and work, while remaining permeable to rain. Horte Couture came up with a cohesive design that would help screen neighbours and disguise the fence, provides two different seating areas and softens and cools the whole garden with lush tropical planting and new lawn.
The pool has been renovated to bring it up to date with fresh silver travertine paving laid. A new pergola provides shade and somewhere to relax next to the pool.
A raised garden bed with built-in seating and a fire-pit that doubles as a coffee table, provides a new conversation zone that can be enjoyed year round.

An avid gardener and nature lover, this client asked for a lap pool, outdoor shower, patio area, veggie garden and outdoor kitchen area. She received everything plus a water feature and a small pool house with a powder room. Materials include natural stone walls & raised planter, sand-etch concrete and patio slab inlays. Metal containers are used for the veggie garden in the side yard.
