Just BasementsThese elements are repeated again at the bar area where a bold backsplash and black fixtures link to the design of the bathroom, creating a consistent and fun feel throughout. The bar was designed to accommodate mixing up a post-workout smoothie or a post-hot tub evening beverage, and is oriented at the billiards area to create central focal point in the space. Conveniently adjacent to both the fitness area and the media zone it is only steps away for a snack.
Blythe Building CompanyA glorious marble counter wet bar with backsplash and a wine refrigerator make a perfect place for hosting guests. The cabinets are custom painted in stately Chelsea Gray (by Benjamin Moore). Natural light floods over the heart of pine wood flooring.

Collaborations with builders on new construction is a favorite part of my job. I love seeing a house go up from the blueprints to the end of the build. It is always a journey filled with a thousand decisions, some creative on-the-spot thinking and yes, usually a few stressful moments. This Naperville project was a collaboration with a local builder and architect. The Kitchen Studio collaborated by completing the cabinetry design and final layout for the entire home.
In the basement, we carried the warm gray tones into a custom bar, featuring a 90” wide beverage center from True Appliances. The glass shelving in the open cabinets and the antique mirror give the area a modern twist on a classic pub style bar.

Gallagher InteriorsTurned an empty, unused formal living room into a hip bourbon bar and library lounge for a couple who relocated to DFW from Louisville, KY. They wanted a place they could entertain friends or just hang out and relax with a cocktail or a good book. We added the wet bar and library shelves, and kept things modern and warm, with a wink to the prohibition era. The formerly deserted room is now their favorite spot.
Artisan Custom ClosetsThis custom designed basement home bar in Smyrna features a textured naples finish, with built-in wine racks, clear glass door insert upper cabinets, shaker door lower cabinets, a pullout trash can and brushed chrome hardware.
BKC Kitchen and BathModern meets rustic in this charming mountain kitchen in Conifer. With a blend of log cabin and transitional design, the space exudes warmth and comfort while also keeping function at the forefront.

Ashwood Designs and Custom HomesThe owner had a small laundry area right off the kitchen and it was a tight fit and didn't fit the homeowner's needs. They decided to create a large laundry area upstairs and turn the old laundry into a beautiful bar area for entertaining. This area provides is a fantastic entertaining area perfectly situated between the kitchen and dining areas.
