JRP Design & RemodelJoe and Denise purchased a large Tudor style home that never truly fit their needs. While interviewing contractors to replace the roof and stucco on their home, it prompted them to consider a complete remodel. With two young daughters and pets in the home, our clients were convinced they needed an open concept to entertain and enjoy family and friends together. The couple also desired a blend of traditional and contemporary styles with sophisticated finishes for the project.
JRP embarked on a new floor plan design for both stories of the home. The top floor would include a complete rearrangement of the master suite allowing for separate vanities, spacious master shower, soaking tub, and bigger walk-in closet. On the main floor, walls separating the kitchen and formal dining room would come down. Steel beams and new SQFT was added to open the spaces up to one another. Central to the open-concept layout is a breathtaking great room with an expansive 6-panel bi-folding door creating a seamless view to the gorgeous hills. It became an entirely new space with structural changes, additional living space, and all-new finishes, inside and out to embody our clients’ dream home.

driscoll interior design, LLCThe stained walnut coffered ceiling gives the pub room a warm, European feel. Custom window treatments soften the windows and add to the warmth. Interior Changes home design & consultingThe gentleman's bar in the lower level is tucked into the darker section of the space and feels like a high end lounge. The built in seating around the wood columns divides the lower level into spaces while keeping the whole area connected for entertaining. Nothing was left out when it came to the design~ the custom wood paneling and hand painted wall finishes were all in the homeowners mind from day one.
Obvious Flair Interior DesignThis amazing bar and breakfast nook sit adjacent to kitchen and sweeping ocean views not shown due to lighting. Entire ground floor of this ocean front home is open, airy and light. All furnishings are custom and hardwood floors are natural white oak. Mirrored bar has a waterfalled countertop in dramatic gray, navy and white quartzite. Barware and accessories sit on 3 floating shelves above refrigerated center drawers with aged brass cabinet pulls.

TruKitchensIn this kitchen bar area, another workspace has been laid out to maximize the space’s hosting potential. This cozy corner features a large worktable, marble countertop, undermount sink, large wine refrigerator, and ample upper and lower cabinetry. Custom vintage-inspired mirrored cabinetry doors are a beautiful design moment bringing sparkle into the space.

One of the lower cabinets is a wine fridge that is paneled, and the other is a custom cabinet with rollouts for storage. The upper Elements back painted glass was custom-sized to fit the space and the color is bronze gloss.
