Green Hammer
This turn of the century farmhouse was a jumble of fragmented remodels lacking an organic flow between spaces. A desire to celebrate the precision and craft practiced at the turn of the 20th century, every detail was crafted with intention. Green Hammer transformed the interior to improve the connections, creating a cohesive and welcoming environment. Energy upgrades help reduce energy consumption, and a garage and extensive landscaping complete this comprehensive renovation.
In addition to FSC certified material, framing lumber from the original 1900’s farmhouse was reused in this remodel and addition. Replica icebox made of FSC certified alder with original icebox handles. Reclaimed fir butcher-block style countertop. Myrtle originating from the Oregon coast. Custom woodwork by Urban Timberworks.

Just Go Home Design
A vibrant home office that is an inspiring and exciting space for an artist and creative type. Three desks function as separate work zones for art making, business and home finance. Tidy streamlined storage hides art supples, office supplies, files and other odds and ends. A picture rail above two desks allows for easily changing and adding artwork that is collected while exploring and traveling The art nook walls are lines with narrow shelves for sketch books, clip boards, notes and works in progress. The center of the room is kept clear as a yoga space with mats and props kept to the side in a basket.
Breathe Design Studio
Our Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom.
The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space.
In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. The large mint cabinets add a lighter touch to the space.

Roeser Home Remodeling
A nook off the Living Room provided a perfect quiet space for study or computer work. Custom Built Cabinets and Desk built in our own Mill shop provided an exact fit to the space for this quaint, but eloquent retreat.
Behind the wall is the families main living area– giving the feeling of inclusion without being part of the busyness of activity.
Sprayed high gloss paint (Farrow and Ball—Hague Blue) is accented by the brushed gold of the lighting and cabinet hardware. A safe place to enjoy their art collectables and a feature wall that demands attention the minute you enter their home.
We love doing featured work that holds special meaning to our homeowners and this project was fun to see come alive.

This New England home has the essence of a traditional home, yet offers a modern appeal. The home renovation and addition involved moving the kitchen to the addition, leaving the resulting space to become a formal dining and living area.
The extension over the garage created an expansive open space on the first floor. The large, cleverly designed space seamlessly integrates the kitchen, a family room, and an eating area.
A substantial center island made of soapstone slabs has ample space to accommodate prepping for dinner on one side, and the kids doing their homework on the other. The pull-out drawers at the end contain extra refrigerator and freezer space. Additionally, the glass backsplash tile offers a refreshing luminescence to the area. A custom designed informal dining table fills the space adjacent to the center island.
Paint colors in keeping with the overall color scheme were given to the children. Their resulting artwork sits above the family computers. Chalkboard paint covers the wall opposite the kitchen area creating a drawing wall for the kids. Around the corner from this, a reclaimed door from the grandmother's home hangs in the opening to the pantry. Details such as these provide a sense of family and history to the central hub of the home.

The home office was once a guest bedroom, so a square room with a closet. The client wanted a fireplace as there was no fireplace anywhere in the home, we also incorporated custom bookshelves and cabinets, taking advantage of the window i designed a comfy feather seat with a small bronze reading wall sconse. The window seat has a little extra surprise as a small shelve pulls out on both sides for drinks. The original 1950's metal desk gave direction to the room as we had a wood top but red metal base and drawers. We included a lot in this home office, new lighting, custom drapery, rugs, slipcovered chair, window seat and custom bookcases!
