The Home Index Interior DesignSchmitt + Company offices and studio on our property create an amazing solution to working at home. Design by Melissa Schmitt. Concrete conference table was heated with radiant heat mat to heat the space. Studio bookshelves created from salvaged timbers and large threaded rod.

transFORM HometransFORM can create a work-station tailored to your favorite hobbies and needs. Whether your hobby is scrapbooking or building model airplanes, a craft room will make a great studio for your creative endeavors. Featured in a white melamine, this system includes a useful combination of drawers and cabinets in a variety of sizes. Also included are organizing poles for ribbons and tissue paper. A bright blue spacious desk top provides enough room to spread out projects and collaborate. Drawers come fully equipped with dividers and accessories to keep crafting supplies visible and organized. Adjustable shelves also allow for easy access to supplies. This neat and methodized system will help get the creativity flowing. Your own projects can add to the decor of any room and give your guests an up-close look at your talents.
Mosby Building ArtsA couple wished to turn the unfinished half of their Creve Coeur, MO basement into special spaces for themselves and the grandchildren. Four functions were turned into 3 separate rooms: an arts and crafts room for the grandkids, a gift wrapping room for the wife, with office space for both of them, and a work room for the husband (not pictured).
The 3 rooms are accessed by a large hall, which houses a deep, stainless steel sink operated by foot pedals, which comes in handy for greasy, sticky or paint-smeared hands of all ages.
The gift wrapping room is adult art projects plus an office work space. Grandparents can leave their projects out and undisturbed by little ones by simply closing the French doors. Custom Wellborn cabinetry becomes work tables with the addition of wood tops. The impressive floor-to-ceiling hutch cabinet that holds gift wrapping supplies is custom-designed and built by Mosby to fit exact crafting needs.
