On a gardé les briques apparentes en les peignant en blanc. Et on a créé des étagères dans les coffrages des murs pour cacher les tuyaux. On a mis des carreaux de verre entre la pièce principale et la salle d'eau. et on a refait les fenêtres pour avoir un peu de lumière extérieure.

En effet, l’immense garage a été entièrement repensé. Il s’articule autour de trois espaces distincts : un plus petit garage, une buanderie et une pièce pour monsieur faisant office de bureau, mais pas que… Adapté pour y travailler, l’endroit est aussi et surtout aménagé pour s’y détendre. En témoignent le profond canapé, le grand téléviseur et le fauteuil de gamer disposés sur place.

THE COMPLETE RENOVATION OF A LARGE DETACHED FAMILY HOME This project was a labour of love from start to finish and we think it shows. We worked closely with the architect and contractor to create the interiors of this stunning house in Richmond, West London. The existing house was just crying out for a new lease of life, it was so incredibly tired and dated. An interior designer’s dream. A new rear extension was designed to house the vast kitchen diner. Below that in the basement – a cinema, games room and bar. In addition, the drawing room, entrance hall, stairwell master bedroom and en-suite also came under our remit. We took all these areas on plan and articulated our concepts to the client in 3D. Then we implemented the whole thing for them. So Timothy James Interiors were responsible for curating or custom-designing everything you see in these photos OUR FULL INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICE INCLUDING PROJECT COORDINATION AND IMPLEMENTATION Our brief for this interior design project was to create a ‘private members club feel’. Precedents included Soho House and Firmdale Hotels. This is very much our niche so it’s little wonder we were appointed. Cosy but luxurious interiors with eye-catching artwork, bright fabrics and eclectic furnishings. The scope of services for this project included both the interior design and the interior architecture. This included lighting plan , kitchen and bathroom designs, bespoke joinery drawings and a design for a stained glass window. This project also included the full implementation of the designs we had conceived. We liaised closely with appointed contractor and the trades to ensure the work was carried out in line with the designs. We ordered all of the interior finishes and had them delivered to the relevant specialists. Furniture, soft furnishings and accessories were ordered alongside the site works. When the house was finished we conducted a full installation of the furnishings, artwork and finishing touches.

Basement under the footprint of the property allows to increase the living and play areas by accommodating a family media room, alongside a bedroom, a utility room, a store and a plant.

This games room is a Liverpool FC / F1 fan's dream. With state of the art sound systems, lighting and smart TV it's invigorated refurbishment is set off to full effect. Sometimes even the simplest of tasks can bring about unexpected hurdles and getting the lighting accurately spaced proved a challenge in this basement conversion ... but with clever staff we got there. Coved uplighting in a soft white adds warmth to the optical allusion of greater height and the Zoffany textured wallpaper gives a 3 dimensional luxury mount for the owners' extensive memorabilia. A bespoke external door allows light to flood in, and the designer carpet, traced and imported from Holland, via Denmark thanks to Global Flooring Studio, gives a great sense of the industrial when next to the steal framed staircase (more of that soon).

This space was originally designed as an exhibition space for art on the wall. However, approaching the finish of the buit a family had been formed and the use changed into a family room.

La cornice, il vetro e le bocchette del camino ed i profili angolari tutti neri come il rivestimento, creano un monolite in marmo nero, che lo fa diventare il "protagonista" dell'ambiente.
