Cook´s Blue - Die blaue Shaker Küche
Zuerst waren die Bodenfliesen, dann ist die Küche gebaut worden. Wir haben diese Küche nach den Wünschen des Kunden an den Raum angepasst. Die Küche ist mit 11m² sehr klein, aber offen zum großen Wohnraum. Die Insel ist der Mittelpunkt der Wohnung, hier werden Plätzchen gebacken, Hausaufgaben gemacht oder in der Sonne gefrühstückt.
Der Kühlschrank und Einbaubackofen wurden aus der alten Küche übernommen, das Gaskochfeld ist neu. Das Kochfeld würde bewusst nicht in die Insel geplant, hier ist später noch eine Haube geplant und dies würde die Küche zu stark vom Wohnraum abtrennen. Der Einbaubackofen wurde bewusst in der Rückseite der Insel "versteckt", so ist er von der Raumseite aus nicht zu sehen.
Die Arbeitsplatten sind aus Eiche, mit durchgehender Lamelle, als Besonderheit wurde hier die Arbeitsplatte der Insel auf dem Sideboard-Schrank fortgeführt. Die Muschelgriffe sind aus England im Industriedesign gehalten. Der Spülstein ist von Villeroy und Boch, 90cm Breit mit 2 Becken, der Geschirrspüler von Miele ist Vollintegriert.
Die ganze Küche ist aus Vollholz und handlackiert mit Farben von Farrow and Ball aus England.

The remodel included removal of existing cabinets and countertops and installation of new solid wood cabinets by Shiloh Cabinetry, granite countertops and ceramic tile backsplash. Anthology WoodsPainted White Reclaimed Wood wall paneling clads this guest space. In the kitchen, a reclaimed wood feature wall and floating reclaimed wood shelves were re-milled from wood pulled and re-used from the original structure. The open joists on the painted white ceiling give a feeling of extra head space and the natural wood textures provide warmth.

Bilotta Kitchen & HomeThis bold and blue traditional kitchen was designed by Bilotta’s Jeni Spaeth with Interior Designer Jane Bell of Jane Bell Interiors. Designed for a bachelor’s penthouse, the view from the apartment spectacularly overlooks Westchester County with sights as far as Manhattan. Featuring Bilotta Collection Cabinetry in a 1” thick door, the design team strayed far from the classic white kitchen and opted for a regal shade of blue on the perimeter and natural walnut on the island. The color palette is further emphasized by the polished Blue Bahia granite top on the island and beautifully accented by the pops of gold used for the decorative hardware. The focal point of the kitchen is the Cornu Fe range, the Albertine model in black with satin nickel and polished brass accents. The accompanying hood is a custom design by Rangecraft in brushed stainless with satin gold elements. The countertop and backsplash surrounding the hearth area are in soft beige tones, a needed contrast to the darker hues of the cabinets and range. The L-shaped layout, with seating at the island, allows for wide-open views into the adjoining rooms and to the city below through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Riverside Construction, LLCRiverside Construction started by removing the bulkhead and pony wall to create a functional U- Shape kitchen and relocating the sink below the window. Next, they replaced the dated cabinets with shaker-style Wellborn Select Series cabinetry in Hancock MDF. These fresh, modern upper and lower cabinets were finished in two colors, Willow and Glacier. Visual interest was added to the kitchen by designing glass cabinet doors on either side of the sink. New Carrara Mist Quartz countertops and a glass ceramic tile backsplash installed in a brick lay pattern completed the look. Other highlights included luxury vinyl Andover Bayhill Blonde plank flooring for easy cleaning, under cabinet lighting, and a semi-flush drum lighting fixture by Livex Lighting.
NB Interiors UKThe kitchen dining area was given a total revamp where the cabinets were repainted, with the lower ones in a dark blue and the top ones in 'beige' to match the wall and tile splashback colour. Splashes of mustard were used to give a pop of colour. The fireplace was tiled and used for wine storage and the lighting updated in antique brass fittings. The adjoining hall area was also updated and the existing cabinet modified and painted same blue as the lower kitchen ones for a cohesive look.
