Ali AttenboroughWe designed a modern classic scheme for Sarah's family that would be practical everyday but also offer a social mood for evening entertaining. We blended smart prussion blue cabinetry and walls for a smart and connected feel. To lift the scheme we included soft white, ivory, warm wood, rustic surfaces and distressed tile patterns. We incorporated their existing dining furniture into a sensible layout, but up-cycled the seat pads with free coffee sacks. Sarah's collection of vintage treasures were used to beautiful effect in a curated wall shelf display.
A custom built and locally sourced island created the hub that they had always wanted.

This home is very representative of the fun and casual lifestyle the owners love!
We reconfigured the kitchen and family room by adding a small addition in the family room and stacking doors. In the kitchen we moved the cooktop off of the island and refrigerator to another wall which expand the cooking countertop.
Studio DearbornA young family moving from Brooklyn to their first house spied this classic 1920s colonial and decided to call it their new home. The elderly former owner hadn’t updated the home in decades, and a cramped, dated kitchen begged for a refresh. Designer Sarah Robertson of Studio Dearborn helped her client design a new kitchen layout, while Virginia Picciolo of Marsella Knoetgren designed the enlarged kitchen space by stealing a little room from the adjacent dining room. A palette of warm gray and nearly black cabinets mix with marble countertops and zellige clay tiles to make a welcoming, warm space that is in perfect harmony with the rest of the home.

Adding a few farmhouse and industrial touches with galvanized copper panels at the island. Mixing materials with granite, quartz, copper, stainless, bronze, painted and stained cabinetry with a multi textural tile backsplash.

Swanson HomesThis kitchen is truly the centerpiece of our client’s home. With custom cabinetry and center island painted “Railings” by Farrow & Ball, Silestone's "Calacatta Gold Suede" 2” thick quartz countertops, Thermador appliances, clean white subway tile backsplash, and two beautiful antique brass finished “Eugene” pendant light fixtures.
Jennifer Butler DesignDouble islands serve double duty for the busy residents and their large (27 grandchildren, and counting!) family. The 2” quartz tops are from Dwyer Marble & Stone, with chandeliers by Hubbardton Forge.

Jameson Design GroupIn this kitchen, the blue base cabinets pack a punch of color, while the white uppers and backsplash create a light and airy space that looks bigger than the actual square footage. These floating shelves (stained to compliment the flooring) were designed display the clients beautiful handmade ceramic collection.
