JN Interior SpacesThe renovation of a mid century cottage on the lake, now serves as a guest house. The renovation preserved the original architectural elements such as the ceiling and original stone fireplace to preserve the character, personality and history and provide the inspiration and canvas to which everything else would be added. To prevent the space from feeling dark & too rustic, the lines were kept clean, the furnishings modern and the use of saturated color was strategically placed throughout.
MAK Design + Build Inc.While open-concept kitchens seem to be all the rage, these days. This kitchen proves that you can have a U-shaped kitchen that is also modern, functional, and beautiful.
This kitchen doesn’t have a large footprint, but the combination of material choice and use of space help make it a great place to cook and entertain in. The cabinets are a white painted shaker, classic and clean, and while the maple elements on the island and window frames and the blue tile add some interest without overwhelming the space. The white built-out range hood and maple open shelving also help to make the upper level of cabinets seem light and easy on the eyes. The large maple-wrapped beam separating the kitchen from the living room perfectly ties the kitchen into the rest of the living space.
Some of the functional elements that help bring this space together are the cabinet accessories and the island with built-in storage. One of the issues with U-shaped kitchens is that the layout often creates two blind corner base cabinets which usually become black pits for kitchen items to get lost in. By installing a magic corner in one and a lazy susan in the other, we were able to maximize this kitchen’s functionality. Other features, like a built-in trash pullout and integrate LED lights throughout, help make this kitchen the perfect blend of form and function.
Cathie Hong InteriorsWe had a tight timeline to turn a dark, outdated kitchen into a modern, family-friendly space that could function as the hub of the home. We enlarged the footprint of the kitchen by changing the orientation and adding an island for better circulation. We swapped out old tile flooring for durable luxury vinyl tiles, dark wood panels for fresh drywall, outdated cabinets with modern Semihandmade ones, and added brand new appliances. We made it modern and warm by adding matte tiles from Heath, new light fixtures, and an open shelf of beautiful ceramics in cool neutrals.
Cerulean ConceptsThis Kitchen/Dining Room was closed off and had three different ceiling heights. After the remodel and opening up the floor plan with new Wood Look tile floors, gray cabinet island, white cabinets, and shutters - this Kitchen is much more updated!
Hankins & Associates, Inc. - Kitchens and BathsThis “Blue for You” kitchen is truly a cook’s kitchen with its 48” Wolf dual fuel range, steamer oven, ample 48” built-in refrigeration and drawer microwave. The 11-foot-high ceiling features a 12” lighted tray with crown molding. The 9’-6” high cabinetry, together with a 6” high crown finish neatly to the underside of the tray. The upper wall cabinets are 5-feet high x 13” deep, offering ample storage in this 324 square foot kitchen. The custom cabinetry painted the color of Benjamin Moore’s “Jamestown Blue” (HC-148) on the perimeter and “Hamilton Blue” (HC-191) on the island and Butler’s Pantry. The main sink is a cast iron Kohler farm sink, with a Kohler cast iron under mount prep sink in the (100” x 42”) island. While this kitchen features much storage with many cabinetry features, it’s complemented by the adjoining butler’s pantry that services the formal dining room. This room boasts 36 lineal feet of cabinetry with over 71 square feet of counter space. Not outdone by the kitchen, this pantry also features a farm sink, dishwasher, and under counter wine refrigeration.

Dura Supreme CabinetryThis fabulous, East Coast, shingle styled home is full of inspiring design details! The crisp clean details of a white painted kitchen are always in style! This captivating kitchen is replete with convenient banks of drawers keeping stored items within easy reach. The inset cabinetry is elegant and casual with its flat panel door style with a shiplap like center panel that coordinates with other shiplap features throughout the home. A large refrigerator and freezer anchor the space on both sides of the range, and blend seamlessly into the kitchen.
The spacious kitchen island invites family and friends to gather and make memories as you prepare meals. Conveniently located on each side of the sink are dual dishwashers, integrated into the cabinetry to ensure efficient clean-up.
Glass-fronted cabinetry, with a contrasting finished interior, showcases a collection of beautiful glassware.
This new construction kitchen and scullery uses a combination of Dura Supreme’s Highland door style in both Inset and full overlay in the “Linen White” paint finish. The built-in bookcases in the family room are shown in Dura Supreme’s Highland door in the Heirloom “O” finish on Cherry.
The kitchen opens to the living room area with a large stone fireplace with a white painted mantel and two beautiful built-in book cases using Dura Supreme Cabinetry.

Fresh Start InteriorsThis kitchen got new white Shaker cabinets that we designed to take advantage of the full ceiling height, with smaller lit display cabinets on top. A pale aqua island and quiet white quartz counters set the backdrop for a stunning aqua zig zag glass tile backsplash that is the showstopper of the space. Nice updates like a wine fridge and appliance garage round out the special touches of this beach house kitchen.
