Renovation CapitalBenches are Caesarstone Frosty Carrina with 40mm edges. The pressed metal panels and the fluted columns under the breakfast area are sprayed to match the colour of the cabinets (Tranquil Retreat).
ODS ArchitectureOpen kitchen features quarter-sawn eucalyptus cabinets and White Macuaba Quartzite countertops. The double ovens are by Miele, the range hood is by Wolf, the integrated refrigerator is Sub Zero and the faucets are by Graff.
Haus Interior DesignBefore renovating, this bright and airy family kitchen was small, cramped and dark. The dining room was being used for spillover storage, and there was hardly room for two cooks in the kitchen. By knocking out the wall separating the two rooms, we created a large kitchen space with plenty of storage, space for cooking and baking, and a gathering table for kids and family friends. The dark navy blue cabinets set apart the area for baking, with a deep, bright counter for cooling racks, a tiled niche for the mixer, and pantries dedicated to baking supplies. The space next to the beverage center was used to create a beautiful eat-in dining area with an over-sized pendant and provided a stunning focal point visible from the front entry. Touches of brass and iron are sprinkled throughout and tie the entire room together.

Cabinet Supreme by AdairDurasupreme silverton panel door in cherry smoke stain finish, low gloss sheen used for the island, wet bar, and coffee area. Perimeter grey tone painted cabinets in a custom color match per client’s request was specified. Shadow storm granite and cambria whitney quartz were used in combination to set off the cabinet colors. The existing floors were refinished during the project in a neutral tone. The ceiling was detailed in a classic tongue and groove board in a white paint finish as well as the wainscot wall panels and window trim.
Expert installation is always a must for projects that entail stack crowned molding as elaborate as this installation. When working in historical homes, or homes of age that have leveling issues, stacked crown molding can hide the fact the ceilings may not be parallel to the floor.
Tag & Associates, LLCThe kitchen is a bustling hub of culinary activity, adorned with sleek countertops, stainless steel appliances, and an array of neatly organized utensils. The warm glow of recessed lighting accentuates the mosaic backsplash, while the aromatic symphony of spices fills the air. A well-worn cutting board bears witness to countless meals prepared with care, and the inviting aroma of a simmering pot adds a homely touch to this culinary haven.

UserFor this vacation home, a complete gut job was needed in order to fit the lifestyle and needs of this young family of four and their guests. The narrow floor plan created unique challenges, but we maximized its full potential. The result was a warm but modern design with plenty of storage and seating.
One of the biggest challenges was making sure everyone had a place to sit in the kitchen. The space between the kitchen and staircase was limiting, but with sleek modern chairs that tuck away, we were able to allow for traffic patterns and seat all of the children.
To accommodate any vacation extras, an extra wide space near the kitchen and bathroom was transformed into additional shelving. We installed floor-to-ceiling cabinets that offer plenty of space for everyone’s belongings.
A clean design was a must, so we opted for a more modern look. We used Benjamin Moore's "Simply White" as the foundation, putting it on the walls and cabinets, and coordinating the countertops and backsplash. To make the home more welcoming, we used natural wood on the island and floating shelves. The wood was coordinated with the floor, creating a cohesive interior.

Sustainable KitchensOak shaker style kitchen with island unit painted in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue. The island has a Bianco Fantasia worktop and a wine cooler. The perimeter units are painted in Farrow & Ball Ammonite. The Smeg range cooker has built in spice racks on either side and an extractor housed in the chimney breast with a cornice style shelf for decorative items.
