Melissa Sakell, CKBDThis project complete changed the entire first floor of the home and created a whole new layout for the family to live in. To start the wall into the old dining room was taken down and the kitchen was expanded into that room, windows were taken out and two new French doors were put in to open up onto a deck that connect the kitchen and the new dining room space from the outside. A half wall that separated the former eat-in kitchen area and the old kitchen space was also removed to create the new dining room space. The entire back half of the house has been transformed into an entertainers dream space. In the new kitchen two islands were installed to further help the flow of the space and keep the cooking and prepping area separate from the eating and entertaining space. Light and bright finishes along with a little bit of sparkle from the island lights and iridescent back-splash really finish off the space and make it feel special.

Level Custom BuildOur clients wanted an open concept kitchen and dining experience. We gutted the kitchen/dining area and installed an LVL beam to open up the space. We designed and installed custom solid wood cabinetry. The 8' double pantry cabinets to the back left were a must have for our clients as they needed as much as space as possible. The 10'x4' kitchen island was had drawers installed on both sides to really draw upon all storage potential.

This remodeling project has a bitter sweet story.
This home was built in 1975 and was the childhood home for our client. Many, many holidays, birthdays, graduations, and life milestones were celebrated here with her brothers and sisters. This home was the hub for all life events and milestones.
When her parents passed a few years ago, our client decided to purchase the home with plans of renovations and continuing the family traditions and celebrations she always loved.
That's where we come in.
Our job was to redesign the kitchen and bathroom into a functional space where family and friends could gather during the celebratory times and give it a rustic flare. Challenge accepted!
What was on their wish list?
•Remove the peninsula area and add an island. ✔️ Got it!
•Warm colors, materials to be used to give a rustic farmhouse feel. ✔️ Yes Ma'am!
•Open the wall to the family room. ✔️ Absolutely!
•Tone down the orange bathroom and turn it into a half bath. ✔️ Our pleasure!
As you can see from the before and after pictures, every wish was signed sealed and delivered.
A new chapter is happening in this home. Memories of Mom and Dad are still alive and well in every space of this home and now traditions will continue with loving thoughts of the past and excitement of the future.
Working for this family was truly an honor.
WREEDONE ("re-done")This project presented very unique challenges: the customer wanted to "open" the kitchen to the living room so that the room could be inclusive, while not losing the vital pantry space. The solution was to remove the former load bearing wall and pantry and build a custom island so the profile of the doors and drawers seamlessly matched with the current kitchen. Additionally, we had to locate the granite for the island to match the existing countertops. The results are, well, incredible!

Douglah DesignsThis gorgeous home renovation was a fun project to work on. The goal for the whole-house remodel was to infuse the home with a fresh new perspective while hinting at the traditional Mediterranean flare. We also wanted to balance the new and the old and help feature the customer’s existing character pieces. Let's begin with the custom front door, which is made with heavy distressing and a custom stain, along with glass and wrought iron hardware. The exterior sconces, dark light compliant, are rubbed bronze Hinkley with clear seedy glass and etched opal interior.
Moving on to the dining room, porcelain tile made to look like wood was installed throughout the main level. The dining room floor features a herringbone pattern inlay to define the space and add a custom touch. A reclaimed wood beam with a custom stain and oil-rubbed bronze chandelier creates a cozy and warm atmosphere.
In the kitchen, a hammered copper hood and matching undermount sink are the stars of the show. The tile backsplash is hand-painted and customized with a rustic texture, adding to the charm and character of this beautiful kitchen.
The powder room features a copper and steel vanity and a matching hammered copper framed mirror. A porcelain tile backsplash adds texture and uniqueness.
Lastly, a brick-backed hanging gas fireplace with a custom reclaimed wood mantle is the perfect finishing touch to this spectacular whole house remodel. It is a stunning transformation that truly showcases the artistry of our design and construction teams.
