Kitchen SaverThis kitchen in Kensington, MD was refaced with cherry wood and enriched with new conveniences including a lazy susan, wine rack, tip out tray and trash can pullout. The shaker style doors blend contemporary style with the warmth of cherry. The clean lines of the design, tiles and hardware highlight the color and grain of the cherry cabinet doors.

DK StudioThis early 20th-century house needed careful updating so it would work for a contemporary family without feeling as though the historical integrity had been lost.
We stepped in to create a more functional combined kitchen and mud room area. A window bench was added off the kitchen, providing a new sitting area where none existed before. New wood detail was created to match the wood already in the house, so it appears original. Custom upholstery was added for comfort.
In the master bathroom, we reconfigured the adjacent spaces to create a comfortable vanity, shower and walk-in closet.
The choices of materials were guided by the existing structure, which was very nicely finished.

Pacific Coast Custom DesignDistressed gray finish custom bar with built in wine refrigerator. The sea shell mosaic backsplash, custom glass doors, and hammered stainless steel sink add all of the touches to make this built in bar absolutely stunning.
MDB Design GroupTo bring in color we looked at the back splash and countertops. The couple’s favorite colors are green and yellow. A bright green glass subway tile was selected for the backsplash. After looking at several designs for the tile layout at the stove and in general, the final design adds a 1” chrome strip above the 3 rows of green glass tile, topped by a creamy butter subway tile. This design compliments the medium gray quartz countertop in the cooking area. A wood butcher block was installed to the right of the sink.
