Haifa ArchitectsDuplex Y is located in a multi apartment building, typical to the Carmel mountain neighborhoods. The building has several entrances due to the slope it sits on.
Duplex Y has its own separate entrance and a beautiful view towards Haifa bay and the Golan Heights that can be seen on a clear weather day.
The client - a computer high-tech couple, with their two small daughters asked us for a simple and functional design that could remind them of their frequent visits to central and northern Europe. Their request has been accepted.
Our planning approach was simple indeed, maybe even simple in a radical way:
We followed the principle of clean and ultra minimal spaces, that serve their direct mission only.
Complicated geometry of the rooms has been simplified by implementing built-in wood furniture into numerous niches.
The most 'complicated' room (due to its broken geometry, narrow proportions and sloped ceiling) has been turned into a kid's room shaped as a clean 'wood box' for fun, games and 'edutainment'.
The storage room has been refurbished to maximize it's purpose by creating enough space to store 90% of the entire family's demand.
We've tried to avoid unnecessary decoration. 97% of the design has its functional use in addition to its atmospheric qualities.
Several elements like the structural cylindrical column were exposed to show their original material - concrete.

This kitchen remodel went from a classic style to a updated vintage feel. Our crews were able to replace all tile flooring with yellow pine hardwood flooring, tile counter tops with a beautifully handpicked granite slab which paired well with the perfect undermount sink. Our clients picked such an awesome vintage style light fixture to go over their newly built corner booth table.
Advance Design Studio, Ltd.Like most homes built in the 1980’s this combined entry, living room, eating area, and kitchen were completely compartmentalized with walls. They loved the idea of opening up the spaces to accommodate more of a great room feeling. Advance Design accomplished this by opening up the corner of the kitchen to not only make the space flow, but to let light into the dark eating nook and living room.
Working on a budget, opening up the space and installing new hardwood flooring was a priority, so a more expansive kitchen had to be economical. Wanting a clean, contemporary feel; tall espresso shaker cabinets replaced old soffits, and River White granite made an impressive and clean lined contrast. A drywall pantry was replaced with an efficient roll out pantry, and stylish long stainless steel pulls tie the whole look together.

Cabinet-S-TopIn this kitchen remodel Waypoint White Thermofoil T02S door style cabinetry was installed accented with Amerock 96mm Gunmetal Modern Pulls. Black Pearl 3cm granite countertops with double roundover small ogee edge full bullnose was installed on the countertop. For the backsplash, 3x6 Periwinkle Bright Tile with Bliss Waterfall Blend Linear Glass Stone Mosaic accent was installed.

Our Dual Combi Palm shade has a woven look and can be adjusted between open and closed setting and can be rolled up completely. The Fiji colour chosen matches their kitchen cabinet finish well.
