Karen Ellentuck. ASIDThis kitchen was in a home dating from the early 20th century and located in the Mt. Baker neighborhood of Seattle. It is u-shaped with an island in the center topped with a zinc counter. Black and white tile was used on the floor in a tradition pattern with hexagon as the inset and a black and white border with a square mosaic around the perimeter framing the island. Cabinetry is inset traditional style with the hardware on the exterior. the base of each cabinet is framed with a footed detail. Base cabinet were painted with teal, upper cabinets are white and the full height cabinets are mahogany which is used throughout the residence. A tradition style faucet was used with the pull out attached. Cup pulls are used on the drawers and knobs have a back plate.
Direct Source MTA beautiful lake home with an out-dated kitchen gets a make over. Custom inset Shaker cabinetry keeps the classic feel of this home. The custom island features two spice pull outs, an induction cook top, a small prep sink, and plenty of seating. The white granite top plays off of the two-tone kitchen. The perimeter of the kitchen is painted white with an espresso glaze and the green granite top mimics the color of the lake seen out of the large windows. The refrigerator and dishwasher are built-in and concealed behind cabinet doors. The cabinetry is anchored by new saltillo tile.

Room Resolutions"Let there be light!" Vaulted ceilings and pendant lighting with coordinating island light brighten up this kitchen. The stainless steel appliances and lightly stained alder custom cabinets add to the aesthetics of this remodel.

Kristin Lam InteriorsClean, contemporary white oak slab cabinets with a white Chroma Crystal White countertop. Cabinets are set off with sleek stainless steel handles. The appliances are also stainless steel. The diswasher is Bosch, the refridgerator is a Kenmore professional built-in, stainless steel. The hood is stainless and glass from Futuro, Venice model. The double oven is stainless steel from LG. The stainless wine cooler is Uline. the stainless steel built-in microwave is form GE. The irridescent glass back splash that sets off the floating bar cabinet and surrounds window is Vihara Irridescent 1 x 4 glass in Puka. Perfect for entertaining. The floors are Italian ceramic planks that look like hardwood in a driftwood color. Simply gorgeous. Lighting is recessed and kept to a minimum to maintain the crisp clean look the client was striving for. Bathroom + Kitchen ElevenFor the island, we added hidden cupboard space under the seating area, for the seldom used items. Also, incorporating a drawer with a double plug and USB point. Hiding unsightly cables with the ease of charging at the same time. To complement the curved island top, we mirrored this on the ceiling to enhance a softness to the design.
To eradicate the need of an overhead extractor fan, we used a Bora Pure recirculation extractor hob. The optimal airflow offers reduced noise when used and all odours are immediately captured at surface height. Perfect when entertaining.
