Fran Kerzner- DESIGN SYNTHESISOur new clients lived in a charming Spanish-style house in the historic Larchmont area of Los Angeles. Their kitchen, which was obviously added later, was devoid of style and desperately needed a makeover. While they wanted the latest in appliances they did want their new kitchen to go with the style of their house. The en trend choices of patterned floor tile and blue cabinets were the catalysts for pulling the whole look together.
O'Brien Harris LLCThis bright urban oasis is perfectly appointed with O'Brien Harris Cabinetry in Chicago's bespoke Chatham White Oak cabinetry. The scope of the project included a kitchen that is open to the great room and a bar. The open-concept design is perfect for entertaining. Countertops are Carrara marble, and the backsplash is a white subway tile, which keeps the palette light and bright. The kitchen is accented with polished nickel hardware. Niches were created for open shelving on the oven wall. A custom hood fabricated by O’Brien Harris with stainless banding creates a focal point in the space. Windows take up the entire back wall, which posed a storage challenge. The solution? Our kitchen designers extended the kitchen cabinetry into the great room to accommodate the family’s storage requirements. obrienharris.com
Ebano Arquitectura de InterioresÉbano arquitectura de interiores reforma este antiguo apartamento en el centro de Alcoy, de fuerte personalidad. El diseño respeta la estética clásica original recuperando muchos elementos existentes y modernizándolos. AmberthAn open-plan bright and charming basement kitchen uses a clever blend of colours and tones which complement each other beautifully, creating a contemporary feel. A white Corian work top wraps around grey silk finished lacquered cupboard doors and draws. Terracotta hexagonal floor tiles bounce off the original brick work above the oven adding a traditional touch.

Hammer & HandThe kitchen's surface-mounted light fixtures came from School House Electric with shades from Rejuvenation. The light fixture in the butler's pantry (see later in this post) also came from School House, and its vintage shade was found on the Internet from a dealer in Minnesota.
