Square Footage Inc.After living with a small, dysfunctional kitchen for years, our clients wanted more space and more style. To capture every inch of space, we removed all kitchen: bulkheads, archway, half wall and pantry. The newly opened space allowed us to move the fridge and pantry, add a seating area, and extend the cabinets and countertop to wrap around the corner (hello, storage!). A farmhouse sink, 120-year-old wood shelves, compact appliances and black-and- white vinyl flooring make the room interesting and inviting.
Meridian ConstructionThis Harleysville, PA Kitchen was a major overhaul. Meridian Construction opened up walls and created an entirely different layout for this remodel. Others had told the homeowner that a large island was not possible but Meridian saw the potential and helped the customer design an eleven foot island perfect for her baking needs. The beautiful Soapstone countertops and white cabinetry are a dream in this kitchen fit for a chef; complete with hidden spice racks, farmhouse sink, and baker’s table. Covenant Kitchens & Baths, Inc.Designed to the period of the home, this kitchen was created to keep as much of the 1932 Cape Cod feel of the home as possible while giving it a completely functional update. The designer kept all the smallest details in mind including door styles, pulls, “icebox” latches and bracketed molding. All the details harken back to the earlier era. In keeping with the old house feel, fir floors stained in cherry provide some orange tones which are a nice foil to the blue-gray tones of the cabinetry.
