Starr Custom HomesWe took this closed-off 1980s kitchen and transformed it to a 21st century kitchen by opening up the wall to the family room, creating an additional eating area. Everything is new from top to bottom -- and we used the owner's great antique island as the focal point.
Herbert William LimitedA luxury well-designed family kitchen was desired for a young family in Lymington. Their previous kitchen was tired and dark so they chose the brand new range ‘Minster’ from Mackintosh on the new ‘Graphite’ coloured cabinet. The new cabinet fully co-ordinates with the drawers and accessories making for a real luxury feel. To add a further opulent touch Quartzforms Ma White 20mm worktops were added for an affordable yet durable finish.
The kitchen has been meticulously planned for this busy young, family so that everything has a home and in an accessible fashion. There is a lovely double shelved larder for all the lunchboxes, home baking, cereals, cookbooks, mixers and blenders – helping to keep the kitchen tidy on a day to day basis for organised family living. With further ample wall unit storage for teas, coffees, mugs and biscuits and glassware. In addition, there are wide deep drawers for crockery, cutlery and pans and oven trays to keep them out of site when not in use. A Le mans corner unit has also been fitted for ease of access to the corner keeping the kitchen clutter free. Even the rubbish is hidden with built in double ins for refuse and recycling.
A large American Style, Neff Fridge Freezer has been plumbed in to give ice cold filtered water on tap and Ice cubes on demand with plenty of space for groceries for the family. A double oven has been built in with a gas hob. As the owners are tall a caple extractor fan, sloping in design, is the perfect choice to ensure they don’t bang their head when cooking. Next to the hob are pull out trays for oils, herbs and spices. The integrated Bosch dishwasher makes light work of dirty dishes. An 1810 company undermount stainless steel sink was chosen with the Caple Avel Tap in chrome.
For finishing touches a ‘feature brick tiled wall was added near the dining area along with Moduleo flooring which is comfortable underfoot, modern looking, and so easy to clean. Plus with a 25 year guarantee; for this family was the obvious affordable choice.
The clients are over the moon with how this Kitchen works for their small family of Mum, Dad and two 6 year old children.

Design 1 Kitchen & BathThe existing white laminate cabinets, gray counter tops and stark tile flooring did not match the rich old-world trim, natural wood elements and traditional layout of this Victorian home. The new kitchen boasts custom painted cabinets in Blue Mill Springs by Benjamin Moore. We also popped color in their new half bath using Ravishing Coral by Sherwin Williams on the new custom vanity. The wood tones brought in with the walnut island top, alder floating shelves and bench seat as well as the reclaimed barn board ceiling not only contrast the intense hues of the cabinets but help to bring nature into their world. The natural slate floor, black hexagon bathroom tile and custom coral back splash tile by Fire Clay help to tie these two spaces together. Of course the new working triangle allows this growing family to congregate together with multiple tasks at hand without getting in the way of each other and the added storage allow this space to feel open and organized even though they still use the new entry door as their main access to the home. Beautiful transformation!!!!

The Cabinet en-Counter, Inc.This kitchen doubled in size from it's original 1980's U shaped kitchen. The new kitchen features full overlay, framed painted cabinets from Candlelight Cabinetry. The homeowner carefully selected her granite slabs so as to show off the unique colors in the eating area. The engineered hardwood floors pair well with the off white shaker style cabinets and medium toned granite tops.

Decor Kitchens & BathroomsThe Belsay doors are a modern take on a classic shaker style and the D handle in satin black add a more modern touch. The 12mm laminate worktops and up stands also add a touch of modern to a more traditional door. We were able to make a small breakfast bar area which gives more unit space and is a great area for a coffee and a catch up with friends or family.
