Bilotta Kitchen & HomeBilotta designer David Arnoff and Leia Ward from LTW Design worked as a team on this complete kitchen renovation. As you can see from the before and after photos they decided to remove walls to create an open floor plan. The addition of new floors created a seamless flow from the kitchen into the adjacent family room and dining room. They opted for an all-white color palette for the Bilotta cabinetry and countertops. The countertops and backsplash are both a natural quartz from Aurea Stone. They selected the “Phidias” color which is primarily white with some grey veining. Stainless steel or paneled appliances are by Miele, GE, LG Fisher Paykel and Zephyr. Two islands give enough seating for a group gathering and more drawers for storage while keeping the open floor plan.
John McClain DesignThe tile in this kitchen was hand glazed in a beautiful gray metallic finish and we wanted to highlight as much as possible. To do so, we designed custom, open backed upper cabinetry with interior lighting and glass shelves to fully showcase the tile. From a distance, you can see the tile extend all of the way across the kitchen wall providing an uninterrupted view of the feature wall.

Amazing SpacesThe clients described their aesthetic as casual with rustic, country flare. Early involvement in the design and construction of the addition allowed us to have significant input to the placement of the columns that separate the kitchen from the dining area. The columns were used to set up symmetry in the room with the cooktop and hood at the center, and windows were placed around the room for an even distribution of natural light and views.
Green was chosen for the buffet unit to keep the white cabinetry from overwhelming the dining area while providing a visual break between the similarly stained table and island. It also helps meld the colors between the slate porcelain tile and wood floors.
